Life Legacy
FAIRMONT: A Celebration of Life Service for Rosine M. Virgens, 92, of Fairmont, Minnesota and formerly of Fraser Township will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Welcome, Minnesota with Pastor Duane E. Miller officiating . Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Welcome, Minnesota.
Rosine died on Thursday morning, January 14, 2010 at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota . Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Monday until the time of funeral services at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Welcome, Minnesota. Rosine Martha VIrgens was born on June 27, 1917 to Herman and Augusta (Wichmann) Virgens on the family farm in Fraser Township, Martin County, Minnesota. She received her education in rural school District #14 in Fraser Township. Rosine was employed for Autolite in LaCrosse, Wisconsin until moving back to the farm in Fraser Township and made her home with her sister, Doris. In 1975, along with her sister, Doris, moved to Fairmont. She then was employed at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center until her retirement. Rosine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. She enjoyed playing her piano, listening to music and doing her knitting.
Survivors include her sister, Doris Virgens of Fairmont, Minnesota; special friend, Arnold Block of Amboy, Minnesota and other relatives and friends.
Rosine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harold Virgens on April 30, 1974 and other relatives.
