SHERBURN: A Celebration of Life Service for Nancy K. Meger, 60, of rural Sherburn, Minnesota, will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome, Minnesota with Rev. Duane E. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Welcome City Cemetery in Welcome, Minnesota.
Nancy died on Monday evening, March 8, 2010 at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m Friday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Welcome and one hour prior to the services at the Church. Nancy Kay Schroeder was born July 20, 1949 to Harold E. and Dorothy M. Schroeder (Swenson) in Fulda, Minnesota. She graduated from Fulda High School on May 26, 1967 and Mankato Commercial College on May 31, 1968. On May 19, 1984, Nancy was united in marriage to Timothy Meger in LeSueur, Minnesota. She then was employed at the First National Bank in St. Peter until moving to rural Sherburn. Nancy worked for fifteen years as a Customer Service Representative at Truck Writers in Welcome, Minnesota. Her interests included puzzles, reading books, computer games, crocheting, making blankets, camping and hot tubbing.
Survivors include husband, Timothy Meger of Welcome, MN; daughters, Amanda Meger and significant other, Travis Swalve of Fairmont, Minnesota, and Katie Meger and significant other, Curtis Schultz of rural Sherburn; granddauther, Addison Swalve; mother, Dorothy Schroeder of Mapleton, Minnesota; brother, Gordon Schroeder and his wife, Carol of Hastings, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Judy Schroeder of Blaine, Minnesota; and brother-in-law, Tom Meger of Henderson, Minnesota and other relatives and friends; and her dog, Sadie.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Schroeder and brother, Duane Schroeder and other relatives
