William John Wink son of Antone and Emma (Jurries) Wink was born July 15, 1908 in Sherburn, Minnesota. He received his education in Sherburn and District #26 in Fox Lake. Bill was united in marriage to Eva D. Klindt on June 9th 1937. They farmed in Arlington, South Dakota until 1942 when they returned to Martin County. They continued farming in the Sherburn and Welcome area before retiring in 1972. They moved to Fox Lake Township where Bill worked as grounds keeper for Fox Lake Golf Course for many years. In 1998 they moved to Fairmont , Minnesota until Eva’s death in 2004. He lived with his son Allen and family in Brainerd, Minnesota until October 2004 when he became a resident of the Truman Lutheran Retirement Home. Bill was a member of Trintiy Lutheran Church in Welcome, Minnesota , Welcome Senior Citizens, and Conservation Club for many years. He was recognized in the area as an avid fisherman and also enjoyed playing cards.

Those left to honor his memory include one son Allen Wink and his wife, Marcia of Deer River, Minnesota; two daughters Janet Sangren and her husband Bryon of Cokato, Minnesota and Joyce Sathoff and her husband Gary of Fairmont, Minnesota; one brother Leo Wink of Truman , Minnesota; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his wife Eva, six brothers, six sisters, two great grandchildren and other relatives
